Real books, real people

Not a name dropped into a template.

Every book is an original story, written for one person and illustrated in its own style. Not their face pasted into stock scenes, but a world made for them.

Storybook spread of two cats at office desks checking the numbers
“Her actual bosses are cats.” Two grumpy cats, falling spreadsheets, asking where she is. She lost it.
Storybook spread, character posing confidently with thought clouds above her
“The thought bubbles got me.” She poses confident, but the truth in the little clouds above her head is the joke.

Storybook spread of two brothers drifting karts around a Thwomp obstacle
“My boys actually shared it.” Mid-race Thwomp drift, sparks flying, both of them on the same page for once.
Storybook spread, two brothers leaning on each other on a sofa, giggling
“The ending is them on the couch, giggling.” 'I don't wanna play anymore.' Best last page they've ever read.

Storybook spread, cat pulling on a pilot helmet and taking off in a toy plane
“His cat became a fighter pilot.” Shaun's real cat Sabo, suited up with helmet and goggles. He hasn't stopped reading it.
Storybook spread, boy in a red car racing through a Macau food market past char siu and pastéis de nata
“Char siu and egg tarts in his actual neighbourhood.” A red toy car blasting through a Macau food market. Real streets, real food, very fast.

Gifts that actually land.

I was sceptical about a personalised book — most of them feel like a gimmick. This one didn't. They asked the right questions, drafted the story in three days, and the printed hardcover came in a linen sleeve. My partner read it twice in a row, then put it on the nightstand. Best HK$498 I've ever spent on a gift.

Ordered the Gift Edition for my parents' 40th anniversary. I gave a one-paragraph brief and a Dropbox of old photos. What came back felt like someone had actually listened — their dog was in it, the village in Provence was in it, even the in-joke about my dad's espresso machine. My mum cried. So did I, honestly.

I almost cancelled when I saw the price, but the team showed me the digital draft first and let me tweak two scenes. Zero pressure. The hardcover arrived in a week, gift-wrapped. My daughter calls it 'her book' and won't let visitors leave without reading it to her.
